Interior Improvements in new building shell
Features, Methods and Challenges included:
- A post-tensioned
slab over the main parking garage required precise layout
and coordination of all utilities penetrating that slab. In
addition, a 4” topping
slab was poured on top of 8” of rigid insulation on top
of the post-tensioned structural slab. Then
a stained concrete slurry was applied with colorful painted
designs as the finish floor.
- High-end Live/Work residential living units
above the store required coordination and for all vents and
shafts running through to the roof, substantial sound proofing.
- Site access was very limited due to the
shell and other projects under construction during the same
time period.
- Working hours were limited due to the proximity
to another residential complex across the street.
